Introduction
Welcome to Earth Science! I am excited and grateful to assist you in discovering and understanding more of the world around you. In Earth Science we explore the broadest aspects of science broken down in to five branches: Geology, Meteorology, Oceanography, Astronomy and Ecology. We explore from the smallest atom to the farthest known reaches of space! You're scientists, now and forever. Let the adventure begin!
Tips For the Year
This website is for both parents and students.
Parents, please utilize this as a resource for what students will be doing in my class throughout the year. I will post updates and photos of your youth in action! Especially with some of the projects they'll be doing. There is also a "contact me" page you may use to reach out to me throughout the year. Please reach out to me anytime you should need. The submissions go directly to my email and are not broadcast to anyone else. My goal is to have grades updated every two weeks. In this way I can help you, your student and myself keep up with where their progress stands and what needs to be done to succeed.
Students, I will update the links to packets as the year goes on so you may access them freely from here if you need to reprint the material. The packets will be a source of study material you may use for most quizzes and in preparation for the final assessments (though the packets themselves are not allowed during final assessments). I will initially be providing a paper copy of each packet to you. This will give you two ways to access your material and ensure you get it completed as we go through it.
